(2 Credits) In this customized, 2-day, skills-building program for Middlesex-London Paramedic Services, the use and application of the collective agreement is placed into an intensely practical context. Participants explore challenges in managing unionized employees, hot spots in their collective agreement(s), and strategies to build trust and procedural fairness. Key topics include understanding employee relationships, effective problem-solving through Interests, Rights, and Power frameworks, and enhancing communication with active listening and reframing. This interactive program also covers the role of unions and management, collective agreements, performance management, progressive discipline, and trust-building to create a positive, productive workplace culture.
